Norwalk Wedding Photographer ~ Jen & Elmer’s Civil Ceremony
I photographed my first civil ceremony two weeks ago! It was super exciting, because I strongly believe in love & marriage; whether its done on a large scale with a ceremony and reception, or on a tiny scale with a intimate courthouse wedding. You’re committing yourself to one person, for life ~ thats important! Its huge! Its definitely a moment that should be captured & treasured forever. So I am definitely, definitely a fan of these civil ceremonies becoming more common in the wedding photography industry! 🙂
Jen & Elmer gave me such a wonderful first experience! They’re an adorable, sweet young couple who met on Facebook while Jen was still living in the Philippines. They plan on having a vow renewal and reception for Jen’s family back home, but her brother was able to fly in for the occasion & walk her down the aisle while Elmer’s (and now their) family hummed! So much of Elmer’s family came that they filled the courthouse and chapel with excitement, laughter, and love… there was so much love! No stress, no panic, or worry, or rushing ~ just happiness and love… thats SOOO my kind of wedding! I was absolutely honored to be a part of it, and even though we only had a very short time together, I just fell in love with these two immediately & am incredibly happy for them! Congrats Jen & Elmer!!
