>>> How long have you been photographing boudoir sessions? How many have you done?
I started photographing boudoir sessions in 2008, a couple of years after starting my wedding photography business. I’ve photographed roughly 75 sessions since then.
>>> Are you a full time photographer, and do you only photograph boudoir?
Yes, I am a full-time photographer. I work from my home office while caring for my two children, which of course is another full-time job! In order to give both my family and clients the time & attention they deserve, I am currently only booking a limited number of 12 boudoir sessions per year. I specialize in wedding, engagement, and boudoir photography, but I also photograph families and children when my schedule permits.
>>> What sets you apart from other photographers?
My photographs are vibrant, colorful, and edgy. I go out of my way to make sure all of my boudoir clients are comfortable and having fun during their session. I pour my heart into taking care of my clients and providing excellent customer service and quality products. And I’ve been in business for over 10 years!
>>> Where will my session be photographed? Do you have a studio?
Most of my boudoir sessions take place in my clients home. Other location options include a private outdoor area, a friend’s home, hotel room, or a photography studio. I would be happy to refer you to my favorite hotel rooms and studio spaces! I have access to several studios across the Southern California area (Anaheim, Santa Ana, Pasadena, Los Angeles, Moreno Valley, and Banning) that are available at an additional cost.
>>> How many outfits will I be photographed in? Do I bring my own, or do you provide them?
During a one hour session, I’ll be able to photograph you in 2 outfits. Some of my studio spaces have a boudoir closet with lingerie and accessories available to you, but I recommend bringing your own as well.
>>> Do you offer hair & makeup services?
I work with several talented hair & makeup artists, and am more than happy to refer you to them, or customize a collection for you including their services.
>>> How many photos will you give me? Are they edited and retouched?
I give my clients anywhere from about 60-80 photos. All photos are professionally edited for color, exposure, and contrast before you view them, but they are not retouched. Images chosen for your little black book, prints, or other products ordered will be retouched. I charge $10-20/image for additional retouching.
>>> When will my proofs, little black book, etc. be ready?
Your usb will be ready and your proofs will be available on a password protected page roughly 2 weeks after your session. Little black books take roughly 4 weeks after you place your order, and other products such as prints and canvas wraps arrive in 7-10 business days unless otherwise noted.
>>> Do you charge a travel fee, and if so, how much is it?
There is no travel fee for locations within 30 miles of me. $1.50/additional mile is charged for locations over 30 miles (for example: 120 mile distance = $90 travel fee). Lodging, transportation, and airfare may also apply. View details.
>>> What camera equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, and have multiple lenses and flashes for every situation – 24-70mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.4, 50mm f/2.5 macro, 70-200mm f/2.8, 150mm f/2.8 macro, and (4) 600 EX-RT Speedlites.
>>> How do I book you for a boudoir session? Do you offer payment plans?
Since I take a limited number of sessions per year, my schedule fills up quickly! I recommend booking your session at least 6 weeks before your little black book is needed. I require a signed contract and 50% retainer fee to reserve a date, with the balance due at your session. And yes, payment plans are available and all major credit cards are accepted! Please contact me for more details!
