Frequently Asked Questions

>>> How long have you been in business, and how many weddings have you photographed?

I’ve been photographing weddings professionally since 2006, and I’ve photographed over 300 of them in all sizes and traditions.  And you know what?  I’ve loved photographing Every. Single. One of them!

>>>  Are you a full time photographer, and do you only photograph weddings?

Yes, photography is my full-time job.  I work from home while caring for my two children, which is definitely another full-time job!  In order to give both my family and clients the time & attention they deserve, I am currently only booking a limited number of 15 weddings per year.  I specialize in wedding and boudoir photography, but I also photograph families and children when my schedule permits.

>>>  How would you describe your style of photography and your style of working?

Capturing the moments & emotions of your wedding day is the most important thing to me!  I’m truly a photojournalist at heart, so I focus on blending in, documenting your story, and keeping the day stress free.  I love natural and candid photos, and go for that same feel in my portraits as well.

>>>  What sets you apart from other photographers?

My photographs are timeless, colorful, and focused on emotions and connections.  I pour my heart into taking care of my clients and providing excellent customer service and quality products.  And I’ve been in business for almost 10 years!

>>>  What happens if you have an emergency on my wedding day?

First, let me just say – this has never happened!!  But, if there was absolutely-positively-no-possible-way I could be at your wedding, my second photographer would become your main photographer.  This is one of the main reasons why I include 2 professional photographers in my pricing.  I also have a large network of colleagues to reach out to and fill in as the second photographer.  After the wedding, I would handle all editing, album design, orders, etc.

>>>  How many photos will you give me?  Are they edited and retouched?

I give my clients anywhere from about 60-80 photos per hour. All photos are professionally edited for color, exposure, and contrast before you view them.  Images chosen for prints, albums, or other products ordered will also be retouched.  I charge $10-20/image for additional retouching.

>>>  When will my proofs, album, etc. be ready?

The full proofs (and digital files, if purchased) will be ready 6-8 weeks after your wedding.  Print orders arrive in 7-10 business days, and albums arrive in 3-6 weeks.

>>>  Do you charge a travel fee, and if so, how much is it?

There is no travel fee for wedding locations within 60 miles of me, which covers much of Southern California!  $1.50/additional mile is charged for weddings over 60 miles (for example: 120 mile distance = $90 travel fee).  Lodging, transportation, and airfare may also apply.  View Details.

>>>  What camera equipment do you use?

I shoot with 2 cameras, a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and a Canon EOS 5D Mark III.  I also have multiple lenses and flashes for every situation – 24-70mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, 50mm f/2.5 macro, 70-200mm f/2.8, and several Speedlite flashes.

>>>  How do I book you for my wedding? Do you offer payment plans or accept credit card payments?

Since I take a limited number of weddings per year, my schedule fills up quickly!  I recommend booking your wedding at least 12 months in advance if possible.  I require a signed contract and 50% retainer fee to reserve a date, with the balance due 2 weeks before the wedding.  And yes, payment plans are available and all major credit cards are accepted!    Please contact me for more details!
